How Far is Madinah from Makkah by Road?
The road distance between Madinah and Makkah is approximately 450 km. On a normal day that is around 4 to 5 hours in the car. During busy Umrah periods, traffic around the Makkah entry points can add another 30 to 60 minutes. We have been driving this route long enough to know which times are heavier and we plan departure times around that.
The road itself is well maintained and clearly marked. Our drivers take the most reliable route based on the day and time. They do not need a map for this one.
